Industrial Policy Resolution – 2015 and Odisha Food Processing Policy – 2016

• Electricity tariff reimbursement of INR 0.25 to INR 1.25 per unit for a period of 5 years depending on investment and employment generated provided a minimum investment of INR 50 crore and a minimum employment of 75 people

• Electricity duty exemption for 5 years upto a contract demand of 5 MVA

Capital subsidy of 10% on investment in plant and machinery up to INR 10 to 50 crore depending on investment and employment generated provided a minimum investment of INR 50 crore and a minimum employment of 75 people. With investment less than 50 crore, capital subsidy of 33% on investment in plant and machinery up to INR 3 crore

As per Odisha Food Processing Policy - 2016:

• 25% up to Rs. 2 crore

• 33% up to Rs. 3 crore for industries setup by SC, ST, Women or in KBK districts

• 25% up to Rs. 5 crore for Anchor industries

• 50% up to Rs. 4 crore for state-of-the-art NABL accredited Food testing labs outside Cuttack, Berhampur & Bolangir

• 35% up to Rs. 5 crore for cold chain, value addition and preservation infrastructure for non-horticultural produce or for primary processing centers/collection centers for all produce

@5% per annum interest subsidy subject to a total maximum limit of INR 10 lakh to 1 crore, depending on the investment

100% net SGST reimbursement for a period of 7 years subject to a maximum of 200% of cost in plant & machinery

Additional Subsidy/ Scheme pertaining to the State

• Training subsidy of INR 1750 to INR 3000 per employee skill upgradation and INR 2500 to 4000 per employee newly trained for 3 years depending on investment and employment generated provided a minimum investment of INR 50 crore and a minimum employment of 75 people

• 100% reimbursement of contribution towards ESI and EPF for displaced workers for duration of 3 years and for differently-abled workers for a period of 5 years if the unit is classified as Large. If classified as Micro or Small then reimbursement of 75% for male employees and 100% for female employees on expenditure towards ESI and EPF scheme for 5 years. If medium then, reimbursement of 50% for male employees and 100% for female employees on expenditure towards ESI and EPF scheme for 3 years. All the above provisions are applicable for employed skilled and semi-skilled workers domicile of state as regular

• 100% assistance for patent and intellectual property right registration up to INR 10 lakh

• 100% assistance for obtaining quality certification for a period of 3 years up to INR 3 lakh

• 100% reimbursement of the cost of purchase of technical know-how up to INR 1 lakh for indigenous technology and up to INR 5 lakh in case of imported technology

As per Odisha Food Processing Policy – 2016:

• Assistance to Reefer Vehicle: Credit linked back ended subsidy @ 35% of the cost of standalone new reefer vehicles/ mobile pre-cooling vans up to maximum of Rs. 25 lakh

• Promotional Assistance:

  • Up to Rs. 2 lakh per event for organizing seminar/workshops

  • Support to exhibitions/fairs

  • 50% of expenditure for a max of 2 batches for domestic study tour/exposure visit

  • 50% of the cost up to Rs. 4 lakh for conducting studies/surveys/feasibility reports

• Assistance for setting of Food testing laboratory up-to Rs.4 crore.

Government Support in Marketing:

• Incentives provided for Refrigerated vehicles, Sorting grading packing units, Retail Market Outlets under MIDH.

• Top-up subsidy @ 20% on selected components under State Agriculture Policy
